I am not the least bit interested in this website or viewing any similarwebsites, but I am
particularly struck by williamson's quoted comments about his
self-perceived constituents. If he were on the ww
water board or even town council, perhaps I could agree that his reach
was limited, but as a member of the state legislature, he works (or
should) for all of us. His view is especially troubling when he is
involved in matters which affect the state budget and decisions that
impact Rhode Island, statewide. If this provincial view permeates the
legislature, small wonder we have the never ending conflict of interest
problems from our state senators and representatives. This
is outrageous and a reason for ww voters to vote him out. That
which is no good for the state, is no good for cities and towns.

Dear N,
Ignorance is bliss? The only thing remotely
provocative about my anti-Williamson web site is the URL. The rest is
actually pretty tame, reasonable, perhaps even lawyerly (for the
record, I am not a lawyer). If I didn't use such a domain name, nobody
would bother with it, especially the newspapers. But alot of people
seem to be curious about it, and it sure got Williamson's attention
since he replied angrily about it being "borderline slanderous." So, I
guess you could say, "it works;" anything that can strive to be
truthful and shake up an apathetic public is near remarkable.
I agree with the rest of your analysis. Williamson is pretty darn
arrogant about his role and the role of we citizens. Maybe he is taking
lessons from the King of Rhode Island, his royal highness, Frank
Wiliams.
Vanderbilt said "The public be damned." It seems like our legislators
have adopted the robber baron mentality.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
Best,
Hal
